Locksmith lead response for urgent and scheduled requests

Locksmith requests can range from emergency lockouts to planned rekeys. A better intake path helps route both quickly.

Some locksmith leads are urgent

A customer locked out of a home, car, or business will keep searching until someone responds. A delayed form reply can lose the job in minutes.

The first response should confirm that the request was received and make the fastest next step clear.

Separate emergency from scheduled work

Lockouts, broken keys, rekeys, safe work, and access control requests need different handling. A short intake form can ask what type of help is needed and whether the customer needs service now.

That helps the dispatcher decide whether to call immediately or place the lead into the normal schedule.

Do not depend on one missed call

If the first call does not connect, the lead should not vanish. A short follow-up message gives the customer a simple way to reply or book.

That matters most when field techs are busy and calls come in between jobs.

Quick checklist

  • Ask whether the request is urgent or scheduled.
  • Capture location, service type, and callback number.
  • Alert the dispatcher quickly.
  • Send a follow-up if the first call is missed.
